These are my answers to the frequently asked questions :

« What is the origin of henna tattoo that we can see everywhere in seaside resorts ? »
I do not know the exact dates or places where people started henna tattoo. But, what I know of is that a person went on a trip on Orient and by seeing oriental women tattooing with needles, he got the idea of adapting it to traditional tattoos (Chinese, Tribal, animals...) about seven years ago.
« What is P-phenylenediamin ? »
It is the substance used to produce the black colour because natural henna is orange. It also fix henna on skin faster. This substance is used in many different things like cosmetics, hair products, clothes, fancy leather work...
« Do I have to be a good drawer to realise a Henna Tattoo ? »
NO! because you will be using tracing paper and the notice is sent with the basic kit Henna Tattoo.
« How much money can I make with a 6 gr. bottle ? »
Most of the time I had about 300 Euro a day with a bottle that I was not using completely. So, I would say in between 200 Euro and 400 Euro depending on your prices and how you are using henna (once the mixture is done, you can keep it 8 hours). It is better to use what you need and add some more after if needed.
«Do I need an authorisation to work in the street (in France) ? »
Last year, the Malraux law was that any artist could work in the street. Henna tattoo as we do it is not qualified as artistic, except if you can tattoo without using tracing paper.
I recommend you to check prior with the city hall or the police. Once in Nice, they allowed it only on the cost boulevard, the Promenade des Anglais but nowhere else
.
« Can we go swimming with a Henna Tattoo ? »
Yes but after 5 hours when it is dry. It is better to avoid swimming pools because of the chlorine that could damage you tattoo.
« Is henna you sell is black ? »
Yes, it will give you black tattoos !
« How long can a Henna Tattoo last ? »
In between one and three weeks depending on the water, the soap you use and your activities(swimming...).P>
« What are the problems that can happen during the preparation or the tattooing ? Do you have any solution ? For example :
What can I do when the transfer is not working well ? It is probably because of your felt pen , the one I recommend is Pilot Extra Fin V7-V5; it could also be because of the deodorant , to me the best is Mennen large stick for men control H24 alcohol free.
What can I do when the mixture is too liquid ? Just add a little bit of powder. If the mixture is too thick, add a little bit of water in the pipe with a needle. Henna gets thicker with the heat so do not hesitate to add water from time to time.
What can I do when the nib is blocked ? Use a syringe without needle filled in with hot water, put it on the end of the nib. The water pressure will clear it. The 0,7 mm are usually better, they do not get blocked too often.
